Who’s Gonna Save My Soul?

I can’t remember the last time I’ve listened to the radio. It’s just the same old crap. So I’ve relied on my own collection of music as well as recommendations from my friends who are also conscious about life and what I consider “awake” ;)

When Gnarls Barkley came out with his first ‘hit’, I thought it was pretty good. The beat was catchy and if you listened to the words, it actually had meaning. He wasn’t singing about 24″ rims on his Escalade and ‘poppin’ bottles’. The music had substance. I was wondering how long it would last though. Most intellectual artists come out with some great stuff and fade away after a while with the exception of a few.

Once I saw his new video (provided below), I am pleasantly surprised. The song is excellent and is something we can all relate to. The video itself is shot very well and the CGI is exceptional for a music video.

Gnarls Barkley, I am officially a fan.
